Business card exchange tip

October 29, 2005

When you have met someone and you both think it’s a good idea to exchange business cards, you can do something that will keep you remembered for a long while.

What is it?

Ask for 2 business cards of the other person. One for yourself and one to pass on to someone of your network.

Definitely try this. You will be surprised of the positive reactions of your contacts !

Success !

What did you do for your network lately?

October 5, 2005

Are you waiting for your network to come to you and offer you information, contacts, business leads and other opportunities?

Or are you more pro-active? And in what way?

Are you a “taker” or a “hunter”? Someone who is looking for “what’s in it for me” and preferably in the short term?

Or are you a “giver” or a “farmer”? Someone who understands that to reap he has to sow first?

Think about what you can give to your network. It doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming! Just giving your full attention for a short period of time can be valued highly by the people you meet.

One of the most powerful things you can do in networking is connecting people. This is also a present to your network. Many people’s lives changed by just one contact. Be the connector that makes this happen!

Have a great networking day !
